Emergency planning

Community Response Group

A new subcommittee has formed within the Arthurs Point Community Association (called the AP-CRG) to ensure that the area has plans and processes in place to deal with a range of unlikely emergencies.

The AP-CRG has applied for funding for a response kit, which would include radios and generators to enable communications with wider Otago Emergency Management.  The AP-CRG is working with the Top 10 Holiday Park to form a dedicated muster point in the event of a major natural disaster.

If you are interested in becoming involved with the AP-CRG or want some ideas for how to prepare for an emergency, follow our Facebook Page - Arthurs Point Civil Defence.
